With such a wide variety of wood species and finishes available (particularly if you venture to do wood outside), the best option is to work directly with my wood worker. You can even choose your boards direct from the source with the help of an expert eye. If time and choices are not on your side, however, feel comfortable that the best options will be presented to you and finished for you. You can be as involved as you like. Either way, it's going to be a work of art.
